Sonoma is Open: #iHeartSonomaValley

As you may have heard in the news, Sonoma and Napa counties, along with Mendocino county, experienced devastating wildfires that started on the early morning of October 9th, 2017 and burned for several weeks. The fires have long been contained and are out thanks to our fearless firefighters and first responders. The Carneros Barn House was NOT impacted, remains in tact and has no residual issues whatsoever (smoke, etc.).

The home was close to the Partrick fire, but was spared on that early morning. In the days ahead, uncertainty and disbelief followed with undertones of resilience and strength as the fires were contained and conditions improved. We all knew Sonoma Valley was a strong, tight-knit community, but we now exactly how strong. Our guests who stayed following the fires agreed.

While some areas were hit hard, only a handful of wineries and local businesses were physically impacted, contrary to national news reports. Sonoma Valley and its wine country scenery remains beautiful and retains its charm. If you or family or friends were second guessing coming to Sonoma or Napa – don't – we're open for business and we welcome you with heart and resilience. The best thing you can do is visit, support the community and enjoy your time in Sonoma Valley.

Please spread the word. Use #iHeartSonomaValley in social media, post some old vacation pictures from your trip to Sonoma, take a photo of that Sonoma Valley wine you're drinking right now or your boarding pass to the Bay Area!

If you want to go a step further and donate monetarily, please make a donation to the Redwood Credit Union North Bay Fire Relief Fund. Over $20 million has been raised, but the need is still exists and is greater.

See you soon!
